The buffalo game and the Vegas wheel of fortune pays the most out. But only if you bet 10 thousand at a time. Buffalo slot is awesome! When you get in the bonus it keeps going! I won 2million on a bonus that just kept triggering for hours. I was told it was a glitch but they let me keep the tokens plus 10 thousand more for being stuck.
I can’t believe I was asked to write a blog post about my experience on Wheel of Fortune. In short…it was incredible! First off, I want to say from the minute I submitted my silly audition video to the second I stepped foot off the Wheel set in LA, every single person I encountered was beyond friendly. The contestant staff, set crew, Pat, Vanna, and Jim Thornton are all wonderful people and I am so lucky to have been part of such a welcoming show! It still feels like a dream.
I have been watching Wheel for as long as I can remember. I used to watch with my Nanny before she passed away when I was 11. My mom Antoinette, my dad Michael, and my twin brothers Anthony and Mike have been devoted Wheel watchers with me ever since. One night this past January, my mom and I were watching an episode together like we do every night, when I turned to her and said “I really want to try out for the show.” That night, we recorded a cheesy introduction video and sent it in to the show with little expectations of what was to come next. Within a couple weeks, I was off to a live audition in Boston during a huge blizzard from Long Island. A few months later, my mom and I were off to Los Angeles! My brother Mike lives in Baltimore and flew in to come with us which was a really nice surprise. We did touristy stuff for the whole day before the taping, but I can’t wait to eventually come back and explore more of California! We don’t have palm trees here on Long Island. The night before the taping, I could not sleep at all. By the time I had to get up and get ready, I maybe got a total of 2 hours of sleep. Even without sleep, I was so excited yet nervous for what the day was going to bring.
Seeing the set in person with all the beautiful Christmas decorations was awesome because it’s so cool to see what happens on the other side of the cameras when watching at home. I don’t remember feeling nervous at any point during the day…I don’t know where my ability to stay calm came from! I’m writing this blog post before my episode actually airs so I’m writing from memory. A lot of the taping is a blur, but there are some standout moments that I haven’t forgotten. I couldn’t believe that I actually solved the first toss-up and introduced myself first. That was definitely the most nerve-wracking part for me. I distinctly remember freaking out when I won the Prize Puzzle trip to Oahu because Hawaii is on the top of my travel list! I also remember being in disbelief that I got to hold Pat’s hand as he walked me to the spot on the floor to solve the bonus puzzle. Thinking back to solving that, I pulled my “Bashful and Grumpy” answer out of nowhere. I couldn’t remember the names of any other of the seven dwarfs to save my life! It was so surreal for my mom and brother to run up on stage with me to celebrate. You always see that happen on TV and wonder what it’s like, and we got to experience it! Bashful and Grumpy changed my life!

To close the show, I was talking to Pat and Vanna about my winnings and Pat said, “I bet Nicholas (my nephew) is going to have a great Christmas this year, huh?” Considering today is Christmas, I’d say Nicholas is absolutely having a great Christmas! And to top it all off, I am expecting another nephew, James, in May! What a memorable year it has been, and it is all because of Wheel. I am so thankful to the show for providing me with such an incredible experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life.
